Ten Gods Calculator
Determines the 'Ten Gods' (relationships between the Day Master and other stems/branches) which define personality, career, and family relations.
What are the Ten Gods?
The Ten Gods (十神 Shishen) are a fundamental concept in BaZi astrology that describes the relationships between your Day Master and all other elements in your chart. Think of them as different roles or functions that each element plays in relation to your core self.
Each stem and hidden stem in your BaZi chart is analyzed relative to your Day Master, revealing how different aspects of your life (career, wealth, relationships, creativity) interact with your core personality. The Ten Gods system helps explain why certain elements support you while others challenge you.
Relationship Roles
The Ten Gods show how each element in your chart relates to your Day Master. Some elements support you (like a friend), others challenge you (like an officer), and some represent different life aspects (wealth, creativity, knowledge).
Personality Insights
By understanding which Ten Gods are strong or weak in your chart, you can gain insights into your personality traits, natural talents, career inclinations, and how you relate to others in family and professional settings.
The Ten Gods Explained
The Ten Gods are determined by comparing the element and polarity (Yin/Yang) of each stem in your chart to your Day Master. The relationship is calculated using a 10x10 matrix that considers whether elements are the same or different, and whether their polarities match. This creates ten distinct relationship types, each representing different aspects of your life and personality.
